Tailgate Time!
Vic Finomore put on the most fabulous tailgate for us before the Browns game Dec. 27. We just wanted to thank him again! The food was incredible as well as the company! The lobster tail was so good on the grill, I couldn't believe it! We had a great time. It was actually the highlight of our Christmas holiday with our 3 kids and their significant others. They are still talking about it. We have pictures posted on Facebook of it!
It was especially nice to not have to think about cooking ourselves since we were so tired from doing that through the previous days of Christmas. It was also very generous on Vic Finomore's part to donate the food and services to Care for Others. Thank you for the food, beverage and hospitality!

4th Annual Fundraising Event - Harvest for Hope 2009
October 17th, 2009 marked another successful Care for Others fundraising event. Held at LaMalfa Party Center in Mentor, Ohio, Harvest for Hope 2009 raised more than $40,000 in donations that will be used to give a helping hand to families and individuals across the United States.
The event was filled with amazing prizes, great food and live music by Pieces of Eight. The 215 event attendees had the opportunity to participate in numerous games as well as bid on Chinese and Live auction items. Floor seats at the Cleveland Cavaliers Game, Browns tickets paired with a pre-game tailgate, two Hawaiian vacations, a clam bake for 50, Bruce Springsteen tickets and an adorable puppy were just a few of the great items that our supporters went home with that night.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all event attendees and especially our amazing volunteer staff. Together, we can make a difference and as we say here at Care for Others, "Kindness is Contagious!"

I’d like to thank everyone who helped make our 3rd annual Care for Others fundraiser a success. The event was held October 25, 2008 at the beautiful La Malfa party center in Mentor, Ohio, attended by 270 guests. Auctioneer Scott Mihalic and John Manfredi hosted the event. Dinner, dancing (with live music by “Switch”) along with a live and silent auction help raise over $50,000

To date we’ve already helped 80 families and individuals from over 300 requests we have received for financial assistance since January 1, 2008. Please read more about us and some of the situations where, thanks to your support, we have been able to make a difference in people’s lives at Care For Others.

2nd Annual Fundraiser
October 2007 - Care for Others Fund Raiser is a Huge Success!
Our 2nd annual fund raiser held October 20th at St. Mary’s banquet hall was a great success. This year’s event was attended by over 200 and included dinner, Chinese Auction, Live Auction and also featured the TV game show hit, “Deal or No Deal.”. Contestants were selected from the audience and participated in games featuring grand prizes of $1000, $2000, $3000 and a 2007 Jeep Sahara. Together we raised over $45,000 for Care for Others. The money will provide a helping hand to those who find themselves in financial crisis through no fault of their own.
Thank you to all who attended and supported the event. I would also like to thank our tireless group of volunteers who without their hard work and dedication none of this would be possible!
I believe one of the great rewards in life is the ability to give back. It's about how we affect our communities, how our personal acts can change the lives of others.
